I am now a more informed citizen...
There were quite a few interesting things on the agenda, the most highly debated by the council being these items...
- Uptown Greenville request for a contract for services.
Awarded - Congrats Denise!
- An ordinance amending the zoning regulations to include a 500 foot minimum separation requirement between "public and private clubs." The ones that are already in existence will be grandfathered in.
Passed.
Also, a member of the council was appointed to the Taxicab appeal board. I don't know exactly what that entails, but I found that amusing.
The meeting started at 7 p.m. I stuck around until 9:15 p.m. about 15 minutes into the public hearings. Hey public, you can be heard - consider this.
