Week 23 - Attend a Murder Mystery Party...

Scene of the Crime: The Juice Joint
Murderer: Chief Cameron
Murdered: Notorious Nick

Who was I? Well, Kitty Cocktail, cocktail waitress at the Juice Joint, friend of Cindy Butts, the Juice Joint cigarette girl and huge fan of my boyfriend Cy Ramsey, local gun supplier. Other characters involved: Southside Sal, Bernie Boozer, Molly Mol, PI Pinkerton, Mayor Biggs and Rosie Marie.

This was sooo fun! Scored a last minute invite when some friends of friends had other friends cancel. No worries, all of us Greenville folk will fill in and fake Chicago accents. Thanks so much to our lovely hosts Emily and Davie. You throw one heck of a murder mystery party.

Week 22 - Night Swim in the Ocean...

I would consider it more a quick frolic in the ocean at night, because I'm not trying to get eaten by a shark.

Jenna took this pic after the quick frolic. It in no way displays the frolic, but it was dark, so kind of tough to photograph. Trust, it happened.

Week 21 - Start Reading Classic Books...

Book 1: The Picture of Dorian Gray
Author: Oscar Wilde
Status: Finished

Book 2: This Side of Paradise
Author: F. Scott Fitzgerald
Status: Reading

Thought it was time to start doing more reading and less watching of the Real Housewives. Ironically, the Real Housewives of New Jersey is on my TV right now as I type this, but hey, at least books are now involved as part of the weekly regimen.

Week 20 - Plant an Herb Garden...

Disclaimer: I played more of a helper role in this one, but it counts in my mind. Really, it does. Plus, why plant a whole new herb garden when you kind of sort of planted one or at least offered moral support to someone planting one? Eh, eh?

These are so out of order, but I can't really remember which ones came first.

So, Grady built a garden box (a really awesome one - in fact, you can read about it here http://bit.ly/92Lygc ) and I helped, and I'm pretty sure I planted at least one herb in the little herb box on the side. :) In said herb box lives: lemon scented thyme, oregano, basil and cilantro. Ahhh, the herbs of labor.

Week 19 - Karaoke...

I've been awful about blogging the project and I haven't kept up 100% but such is life.

Song: I Will Survive
Vocals: Sarah Hall, Rebecca Robbins, Amanda Meyer
Location: Ham's
Level of Awesomeness: 10

With some encouragement from friends and a long discussion on which song would make this experience completely unforgettable and leave the crowd begging for more, karaoke was sung. The location was Ham's - RIP first karaoke spot, you will be missed.

Week 18 - Go Geocaching...

Clues, GPS, Little Washington and Great Company are the perfect combination for an amazing afternoon!

If you have never geocached, you are totally missing out.

If you like feeling awesome...
If you like looking like an explorer...
If you think treasure hunting is cool...
If you like calling other people muggles...

then this is the perfect activity for you!

Week 17 - Run a 5K...

I'm terribly behind on blogging about my project. I think it's that point in a project where you get a little complacent. But, that was the whole point of the blog to have some accountability. So, thanks blogger. Back to work!

A few weeks ago I ran in my first 5K. It was the end to Live Healthy Greenville.

I hate running. The wind was crazy (like hurricane style winds) but, I did it. 3.1 miles, not even a big deal for you runner types. Totally a big deal for the girl who thinks the only really good reason to run is if you are being chased.

Sidenote: The absolute worst smell that one could possibly breathe in when running is the aroma of hot dogs. This 5K ended just past Sup Dogs on 5th. Mmmm.

I was greeted at the finish line by 2 loyal men in my life, Rex (my dog) and my dad. Thanks for the support!
